Website Complete - Showreel Done YAY!
Well it's been a long time coming but my latest showreel is finally complete and it fits nicely in my newly launched website.
Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think:
www.juliaachilleos.com.au
I'm still busy working on my radio program for 2SSR FM 99.7 in Sydney!
Love doing it so much, as it lets me explore, interview and research health, fitness and wellbeing websites and magazines - with purpose!
:)
Tune in on Monday afternoons 2-4pm on 99.7FM Sydney.
On a personal note - I just purchased a dehydrator and have just whipped up a batch of brownie fudge balls and they are in the machine along with a heap of fruit and I'm experimenting with making my own corn chips!
I go away in a few months to a beautiful, uninhabitated coral reef island in The Great Barrier Reef and I simply can not wait!
Fishing, snorkling, reading, running, training at sunrise, watching the sunset with friends!
Heavenly!!

Support Pixi Foto Foundation and Heartkids Australia
Hello
I wanted to let you know that in 3 weeks my family and I are running in the Sydney Running Festival and for the third year in a row i'll be taking on the Half Marathon to raise money for Pixi Foto Foundation and HeartKids Australia.
Incidence of Childhood Heart Disease (CHD) is far greater than most people expect.
CHD is the leading cause of death of young children in Australia, accounting for more than 30% of all childhood deaths, and takes more lives than all other childhood diseases combined.
Although it comes as quite a shock, an astounding 6 babies each day in Australia are diagnosed with heart disease!
More than 4 young Australians will die this week as a result of congenital heart disease.
I've had the pleasure of meeting some of the Heartkids children and their stories are unbelievable!.
Many of them have had multiple operations and continue to take medication for the rest of their lives. Sadly, some don't make it, however with much needed funds, HeartKids Australia can do more research, offer more support to families and provide greater care for the kids and families that are dealing with these issues.
I am still a bit off my fundraising goal for this year, so please help this cause, whatever you can give is the perfect amount, no matter how small. You can do this securely at www.gofundraise.com.au/ juliaandpaul
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Best wishes
Julia

Help Heartkids Australia children xxx
Hi
I'm so excited, there's only 5 weeks until the Sydney Running Festival Half Marathon!
I better pick up my training now so I can beat my awesome time from last year!
Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far!
I'm running to raise money for research, support and care for beautiful innocent children who are very unlucky to have to experience heart disease through Pixi Foto Foundation and Heartkids Australia.
Last year we raised $30,000 and this year we want to make it even bigger!
My goal is to personally raise $2000, so please help me ....anything and everything counts :)
donate at: www.gofundraise.com.au/juliaandpaul

If you can dream it, you can achieve it!
Isn't it amazing what you can achieve when you push yourself? When you dedicate your energy, your goals and your mind to achieving your heart's desires!
If you asked my school friends whether I was a sporty person, they would of said "no".
I was always interested in health and fitness - my parents were both active and healthy. But I wasn't competitive or sport orientated.
However, in the 10 years since leaving school I've competed in 4 Sutherland to Surf's (11kms), 3 City to Surf's (14kms), 2 half marathons (21kms) and 2 Triathlons.
This year I still have another half marathon, City to Surf and Triathlon to compete in.
It might not seem a lot to some people, and I'm definitely not interested in blowing my own trumpet.
But for me to look back and actually feel like I've achieved something significant for me is amazing.
Something I should do more of.
And something I'd recommend you do. Have a think back to what you've achieved this year already and then realise what you can still achieve before the end of the year!
My birthday is tomorrow - 29!! Scary!
Only one more year until 30, now is definitely the time to plan my goals for the next year.
Bring it on!!!

So grateful
Well work is coming together on my new health and fitness radio program set to air in a few weeks on 2SSR 99.7FM Sydney.
I've managed to join forces with some wonderful, wise and exciting health and fitness experts which will feature on the program each week.
It's times like these I realise that a little bit of effort and lots of belief, coupled with some amazing, passionate and enthusiastic people, can really create amazing things.
There is a lot of work involved in this volunteer project, but it's something i'm extremely passionate about - and it's on its' way to fruition.
Look out soon for the Vitality blog :)

Life can sometimes be amazing
Isn't it funny how life is up and down. Every moment, every day brings a new emotion, new feelings and new perspective on life.
Some days your up and others you just feel flat, down and out and may not even know why.
Just 2 weeks ago I decided that I was ready to market my package. I decided that I was going to be more proactive in my gig search and assertive in applying for roles/jobs.
Within such a short space of time, I've been for 5 auditions, made new contacts and secured another TVC for a current client.
It feels good to achieve success, after all it's what I strive for on a daily basis.
But it's also interesting to look back and see how our choices, our attitudes and our activity can bring about our dreams - creating a new reality.
It's definitely encouraged me to keep the positive outlook and to always aim for better.
Plus if you can dream it, then you can do it and have it!
I am good enough :)

WELCOME...
Hi and welcome to the JULIA ACHILLEOS INC. Blog!
It's so exciting to be starting fresh all over again, so first i'd like to introduce myself.
I love to live my life from the inspiration of my heart!
And so, a number of years ago I decided to focus my time, energy and money toward my true dreams and goals - and they are and always were to inform, inspire, educate and motivate people through performance.
My mother took me to drama classes when I was 10 and I fell in love with the craft. I remember we did some ridiculous scene about Ulysses and for a 10 year old - that of course went way over my head! But I still went home after that first class and told my mum that I wanted to be an actor!
So for nearly 20 years I have pursued this dream and along the way, picked up many other skills that complement the acting craft.
Over 5 years ago I started TV Presenting and completely fell in love. I have worked on professional, independent and student productions of films, TV, commercials, corporate videos, web videos and even stills photography.
I am very lucky to host an awesome lifestyle series that is aired in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney called Living on the Coast.
I started working for commercial radio station i98FM in 2009 and again fell in love - this time with the radio industry, and have since studied and am now producing and soon to present my own health radio program on 2SSR 99.7FM Sydney.
Through this experience I am now also working on a voiceover demo, and hope soon to be able to add this to my list of abilities.
I am passionate about this industry, performing and communicating to audiences and always keen to work with equally dedicated and enthusiastic people.
